Description: The removal of woods, digging of peat holes and the creation of shore biotopes for bitterns was part of the large Life II Project in the Wieden-Weerribben. The peat holes were dug at various depths. The released material was pumped to a sand extraction lake with the aid of a pressure pipeline, to decrease the depth of this lake. The shore biotopes were primarily created for bitterns. Various channels and shores were constructed at various depths.
Equipment: Waterking WK 220, shredder and shredder pontoon.
